South India · Classical & devotional music
The devotional voice of Carnatic music, taught with heart.
The raga, rhythm, and devotion of South India’s classical vocal tradition, alongside soulful bhajans.

“Sound is the first form of devotion.”

The Tradition
A voice shaped by raga, tala, and devotion
Carnatic music is South India’s classical vocal tradition — built on raga (melody), tala (rhythm), and bhava (feeling). Alongside it sits the bhajan: simple, devotional song open to every voice, sung as an offering rather than a performance.
At Lāsyamṛta, we teach both together — the discipline of raga and tala for those drawn to the classical path, and the warmth of bhajans for anyone who simply wants to sing with feeling. Slowly, personally, one sruti at a time.
Voice culture first
Breath, pitch, and tone built patiently before ornamentation, so the voice is steady and true.
Raga & swara
The melodic vocabulary of Carnatic music, learned phrase by phrase with a trained ear.
Tala — keeping rhythm
Training the hand and voice to hold cycles of rhythm alongside the melody.
Bhajans for every voice
Devotional singing that welcomes beginners — no formal training required to begin.
